Fibular Osteotomy Protecting System

Fibular Osteotomy Protecting System is intended to be used in fibular osteotomy for treating medial knee osteoarthritis which is aim to preservation of the knee joint.

Design Features

SAFE

  • Less invasive (3~5 cm)
  • Less operation time (~30 min)
  • Lower incidence of complications

BENEFIT

  • Weight bearing line shift from medial to lateral and showed an average increase in the medial knee joint space postoperatively compared with preoperatively [1][2].
  • Improve clinical outcome and functional outcome (70% of patients) [3]
  • Pain relief (60% of patients) with immediately full weight-bearing (half day) [1]
  • U-Knee can avoid the undesired fibula reunion

Indication [4]

  • Moderate OA
  • FTA should under 186 degrees
  • Best indication of fibulectomy is from FTA 174 to FTA 183 degrees
  • Meniscus should be remained
